Color Comp

Rough color study to get the general feel of the piece. Sometimes I don't feel like I need one. But it speeds up the process knowing what colors and how dark something is going to be. Without I tend to paint a lot slower building up the color and value. Now I paint.

cool to see this man, I am wondering how the moon will play out in relation to the dress, which one will be brighter? will they be the same value? Which one will grab interest because of value. Cant wait to see it bro, nice work!

Nice observation. I was going over it in my head as well. It appears cooler and more violet red here which will help to set it back. I'm thinking that might be enough. It'll be easier to solve when I actually get more paint down and have proper context. I actually kept working on the color comp and added some glowing lights around the figure that I think I'll keep. We'll see how it all turns out. Hoping to finish in a week. Which is kinda fast for me.

Cool, agreed, the violet red will surely set it back, I just like to know how other artist think in terms of compositions and value structure so it was really cool to see your color comp. I look forward to seeing more, the final drawing and tree above looks great as well! Peace!!
