Hey Eric, It was very nice to meet you up at Illuxcon. This looks great so far! I remember seeing this out on your table surrounded by reference photos...Do you already have acrylic on the line work or is it still just pencil? Was also wondering if you typically draw right onto the paper you will be using for the ptg. or do you ever transfer over? Great work and thanks for sharing.

Hey Dave,
Glad you made it to the Con. I thought it was great^_^ I've been painting on it already. I'll post some pix soon. I transfer onto the watercolor paper after I get the drawing where I want it. That way I'm not too caught up in details yet and the transfer is still rather simplified, suggestive and quick. It saves me time and doesn't drain my soul. I hated doing a refined drawing from my ref on a sep piece of paper then transferring all that detail and then drawing over it AGAIN because it looked stiff. Then finally I can paint. Tranfser my sketch loosely. Use my photo ref to do a refined drawing right on board/paper whatever just once and paint. It keeps it fresh and it saves time. I know I sound redundant but transferring is rather sucky.
